An engraving is small, hidden, and completely personal — a private message that lives against the skin. It’s one of our favourite parts of making a wedding band, because it turns a beautiful object into something that could only belong to the two of you.
The most timeless choice is also the simplest: your wedding date, or the date you met. Years from now, that small line of numbers will still mean everything. Initials — yours and theirs, side by side — are another quiet classic that never feels dated.
If you’d like something with more voice, consider a word or short phrase that’s meaningful to you both: a nickname, a line from your vows, the name of the place you fell in love, or coordinates of somewhere that matters. Because the space is limited — around twenty characters — brevity tends to make these more powerful, not less.
A few practical notes: engraved pieces are made to order, so give yourself a little extra time. Choose between our serif and script lettering depending on the mood you want. And remember it’s meant to be seen rarely and treasured always — so pick the words you’ll be happy to carry quietly for a lifetime.
